I recently shared a previous card using this fabulous collection of papers by Aga Baraniak. If you’d like to see that card, PLEASE CLICK HERE.
I also created this card with a video to take part in the SAVE THE CRAFTY YOUTUBER VIDEO HOP! YouTube recently changed its rules, making it harder for smaller YouTube channels like mine to be able to earn some money from their videos. In response, many “tubers” have teamed up to bring you some fun, crafty videos along with amazing prizes from our sponsors!
This card is very similar in style to the first one, but instead of using the pre-colored flowers, I used the blank ones and colored them in myself using my Zig Brush Markers.
I began by coloring in the images using my Zigs, and then spreading the color with a water brush. I like to layer on my lightest color first, and then the darker colors where the shading would be. I worked in layers and dried each color before adding the next.
Then, after my images were all colored, I fussy cut them out and set them aside so I could build my card base. My card itself is very simple with just a kraft cardstock base and a white cardstock front panel. Both cardstocks are from CANVAS CORP BRANDS.
After my card base was prepped, I adhered all my flower pieces to the very top, using both liquid glue and foam adhesive for a variety of heights. Then, to add just some simple interest to the card, I grabbed a purple hue of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and added some light splattering.
To finish the card with a sentiment, I added the “celebrate” from some Tim Holtz dies that I own. I cut it from black cardstock and adhered the tiny die cut using my Xyron sticker maker.
Last but not least, I added some tiny diamond sequins from Nuvo to create some sparkly interest.

Until next time,
