Shaker Tag with Brutus Monroe Deco Foil!

Have you seen the new BRUTUS MONROE DECO FOIL? They have three unique designs of foils as well as a number of clear toner sheets, and printed sheets. These are not only fabulous for papercrafting, but a variety of other uses, as well!

For today’s post, I created a fun little shaker tag. How cute would this tag be hanging on a gift for a special someone?

The first thing I did was grab my FOUNDATION DIES. I used the TAG DIES and the RECTANGLE DIES in order to cut out my cardstock pieces for this tag. I have more details on how I did this in my process video!

I then foiled the base tag using the new BRUTUS MONROE SUNRISE FOIL over some TRANSFER GEL. You can see that the foil transferred perfectly to the background. I love how it gives the background of the tag such a fun and unique look!

After I had the base foiled, I used some WAGON SURFACE INK to color the frame for the front.

The little flower image is from the STAMP OF THE MONTH CLUB. I believe this flower will be the August stamp, so if you want to receive this stamp, go ahead and sign up! Not only do you get a cute 2×3 stamp each month, but you also get some discounts and other perks for being a club member!

I used some plastic packaging to cover the inside of the frame to create the window for my tag. Then, after I used foam adhesive to surround the frame, I filled the area with a KINDRED STAMPS SHAKER MIX. The colors in this mix fit perfectly with the foil!

Then, I simply added a fun striped ribbon on the top, and a flat-back pearl to finish the tag. You could also add a sentiment or a “to” and “from” if you are using it on a gift. Or, you could stick it on a card over a cool background! Endless possibilities!
