I think its safe to say that out of all the new DECO FOIL items at BRUTUS MONROE, the CLEAR TONER SHEETS are my favorite! These sheets have designs printed on them in toner, and they are on acetate that will not warp when you run them through your laminator. The possibilities are endless!
Today I have two cards to share using these toner sheets. This first card is galaxy inspired and I just love how it turned out. I used the MARBLE TONER SHEET and then added the TIDEPOOL FOIL on top. After I foiled the sheet with my laminator, I cut it down to fit my A2 sized card (4.25″x5.5″).
I then set my foiled piece aside as I worked on the background. I thought it might look cool if I ink blended some galaxy colors on the cardstock behind the toner sheet, so that the colors could peek out from behind it. I used some MIDNIGHT SURFACE INK to add a deep purple, and some ROCK CANDY SURFACE INK for some lighter blues.
I adhered the toner sheet over the cardstock with a few small dabs of BRUTUS MONROE CRAFT GLUE. Then, I used the little dies from the OUT OF THIS WORLD INSPIRATION BOX to cut the moon and stars out of vellum. I knew I wanted to add some stars, but didnt want the card to look too busy, or take away from the gorgeous background. The vellum was just the right amount of subtle embellishing I needed! The sentiment is from the OUT OF THIS WORLD STAMP SET, and I embossed it in STERLING.
Next, I wanted to show off how to create a shaker card using the CLEAR TONER SHEETS. I took a piece of cardstock in the A2 size, and die cut and oval out of the front using the OVAL FOUNDATION DIES.
I foiled the DISTRESS CIRCLES TONER SHEET using some COPPER DECO FOIL. Then, I cut an oval frame from some TANGERINE GLITTERSTOCK to add to the inside of the oval. After adding foam adhesive all around the cutout, I filled the shaker window with an assortment of sequins I had on hand.
The sentiment is a word die that will be coming to BRUTUS MONROE soon! I love cutting word dies for the sentiments on cards. This sentiment I cut three times, stacked them on top of each other, and then ink blended just the bottom using some MARSALA INK. This gave the sentiment just a bit of an ombre look.
So, there you have it! Two fun ways to use the CLEAR TONER SHEETS. There are a million more ways to use them, Im sure! If you use the toner sheets in your own crafting, post them and add the hashtags, #brutusmonroe and #createyourownending. We love to see what YOU are creating, as well!
