Welcome back, crafty friends! Here’s a fun cuppa to start your day off right!
I am in love with this darling die set from Spellbinders! This set is called the ROBIN AND ROSY MUG Etched Dies from the Sharyn Sowell Collection. This large mug is included along with several florals, a heart, tiny tea bag, and a robin (not pictured here).
These dies inspired me to create a delicate and pretty type of card. I started by die cutting the cup, flowers, heart, and tea bag all out of watercolor paper. Even though I didn’t watercolor on the paper, I liked that the paper has some added texture to it, as well as the fact that it is thicker than regular cardstock.
I created the background for this card by stamping my Floral Frenzy background stamp (which is sadly discontinued!) and then embossing it in GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER. I added a piece of vellum over the background to tone it down a bit without completely hiding it.
My mug is adhered down with foam adhesive, and then the flowers are adhered over the mug with some liquid glue.
For the cute little tea bag, I adhered it with some foam adhesive and then attached a little piece of light pink thread which I looped a bit before tucking it behind the mug.
The hearts on the tea bag and on the mug are both cut from GLITTERSTOCK. To finish my card, I added the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock, and embossed it in the same GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER that I used for the background. This sentiment is from the TEA TIME stamp set from Brutus Monroe.
Finally, I mounted the card front on a piece of LUNCHBAG kraft cardstock, and added a tissue paper ruffle behind the bottom left corner of the mug.
I love how soft this card turned out! Just a bit of floral colors paired with the gold embossing powder makes me think of a delicate china tea set.
Hope this gives you some ideas and inspiration! Please check out the ROBIN AND ROSY MUG ETCHED DIE SET at the Spellbinders store if you are interested.

Until next time,
