Glitterstock Heart + Winnie and Walter Stamps

Welcome back! I have been getting excited for autumn’s arrival which brings cooler weather, sweaters, and hot, cozy drinks!

I was inspired to create today’s card by some Autumn color palettes I have seen floating around on Instagram and Pinterest. I decided to grab some of my Brutus Monroe inks and try to recreate my favorite color combinations on a card, and I love the results!

The Brutus Monroe color I used are TERRACOTTA, MACCHIATO, PLUM, and HAYRIDE. I also added some shine to my card by embossing the sentiment with PENNY EMBOSSING POWDER and die cutting the heart with some matching COPPER GLITTERSTOCK. I truly believe that you can never go wrong adding a little metallic shine to any project!

First, I grabbed my WINNIE AND WALTER STAMP SET and stamped some of the florals and leaves in a pattern at the top of my card. I also used this stamp set on THIS CARD which has a very different feel and look to it. Its a great example of how you can get more use out of one stamp set by switching up the colors you use!

After my background was stamped out, I die cut my GLITTERSTOCK using my HEART DIE from Winnie and Walter. I also cut the same die out of plain white cardstock another two times, so I could stack those die cuts behind the GLITTERSTOCK to add just a bit of dimension. I think this helps the heart to stand out a bit more.

Then, I stamped out the sentiment, “happy” and die cut that with the coordinating die. I finished off the sentiment by embossing the “thoughts and well wishes” in PENNY EMBOSSING POWDER. Brutus Monroe has so many COLOR COMPANION items in their store that perfectly match their ink and embossing powder colors. I LOVE this for keeping everything coordinating on your cards!

I finished my card by embellishing with just a few gold sequins from a mix by DRESS MY CRAFT. Check them out, they have gorgeous sequin mixes!

Thanks for stopping by today! Please hop along with the rest of the team to see what they have created this week!
