Spellbinders Tea Pot Etched Dies

If you are a tea lover, you might enjoy today’s card! I created this tea themed card with the die set, ETCHED TEA POTS from Spellbinders. This die set comes with four cute little teapots that are perfect for cards or other fun projects! Wouldn’t these look so cute on a gift box filled with a variety of teas?

I used this little teapot to create a card with a shaker element to it.

I started by using some ivory cardstock and a bold striped stencil. Over the stencil, I used some Brutus Monroe HONEYSUCKLE SURFACE INK for some soft pink stripes.

Then, I grabbed a mini, white paper bag, filled it with some sequins and beads, and folded the top over to make it look like a tea bag. I stapled some bakers twine to the top, and added a glittery heart to the end of the twine. The tea bag was adhered down with a little tape runner adhesive, and then I carfeully arranged the bakers twine and glued it in place with some glossy accents.

The tea pot in the front is one of the dies from the set. I cut it out of white cardstock, and then again out of some pink cardstock. I used the little inside pieces from the pink and applied them into the white cardstock teapot. I held all the little pieces in place by adding washi tape on the backside of the teapot. This allowed me to insert those tiny die pieces and have them stay in place by sticking to the washi tape.

I then added the teapot to the front of the shaker tea bag. For the sentiment, I grabbed my TEA TIME stamp set and stamped out the sentiment. I used the same ivory paper and Honeysuckle ink so it would perfectly coordinate with the rest of the card.

To finish my card, I added the front panel to an ivory card base, using some craft foam to pop it up for dimension. Then, I added just a few sequins here and there.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today’s card, and if you are interested, please stop by the Spellbinder’s shop to see these fun ETCHED TEA POTS!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
