Brutus Monroe Stamp Club + BLOG HOP!

Welcome back for another blog hop with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team! This week, we want to show off the STAMP CLUB stamp for the month of October. This is such a cute little vampire candy corn image, and the “bite me” sentiment is so clever! I loved creating a fun little Halloween card with this!

This card was so quick and easy to create. I started by stamping out this image using my RAVEN DETAIL INK. Then, I colored it in using my STYLEFILE MARKERS. These alcohol markers have been fantastic for a beginner with markers like myself, and they are much cheaper than other brands I have seen!

I fussy cut the candy corn vampire after he was colored in, and then built my background. The background is a moon that I watercolored on a piece of watercolor paper that I die cut with my CIRCLE DIES. I did another card using this technique for creating a watercolor moon. You can CHECK IT OUT HERE.

Finally, I simply adhered the moon to the card front, added a few die cut bats, and placed my candy corn on an action wobbler in front. Clean and simple card, but still festive and cute!

I decided to make another Halloween card that was a similar style as this Stamp Club card. I stamped out several of the characters from the ALL HALLOWS EVE stamp set, and then colored them in again using my STYLEFILE MARKERS. These characters in the set are so stinking cute! Of course, I HAD to color the boy in the middle with red hair and freckles, just like my 3yr old son.

With my imaged colored in, I mounted the card front onto some JACK O LANTERN CARDSTOCK, and matted it with TANGERINE GLITTERSTOCK. The extra glitter border around the colored images gives the card a more finished look and feel, dont you think?

The sentiment is stamped in RAVEN DETAIL INK, and then embossed with some ICICLE EMBOSSING POWDER. If you quickly sprinkle on the powder over the Raven ink before it dries, you can emboss with the clear powder and get a crisp, black sentiment.
