Monochrome Background + Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop!

Welcome back to my blog, crafty friends! I am thrilled to be able to participate in the Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop! This hop has been organized by Justine Hovey, and is a celebration of crafty individuals who work hard behind the scenes to film, edit, and share their videos on YouTube. We want to support all these YouTubers and help them meet their monetization goals so that they can continue to share with us their inspiration and talents!

For my video, I created this simple card with a monochrome background.

I started by stamping the rose image from the A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME stamp set with VersaMark ink and then embossing it with RAVEN EMBOSSING POWDER.

Once I had the images embossed on the black cardstock, I die cut them out, and arranged them over another piece of black cardstock. I adhered them down using foam adhesive. I like the little pop of dimension since it brings something interesting to this monochrome card.

I wanted to keep this card fairly simple, so I die cut a “hello” for the sentiment out of some SHIMMERY WHITE PAPER from Canvas Corp Brands. I adhered the “hello” to the bottom of the card, using Brutus Monroe CRAFT GLUE for one side, and a small piece of foam adhesive to support the end of the sentiment where it fell off the edge of the embossed rose.

After my sentiment was in place, all I needed to do was embellish a bit! I added a few sequins from a mix from DRESS MY CRAFT, adhering them down with Glossy Accents. I then added a little twine bow to the top of the card to finish it off!

This card was quite simple to make and came together quickly. You could even make a set of them in one crafting session if you wish!

I hope you enjoyed the card and will consider hopping along with the video hop! Just watch my video and click on the link in the description box below to hop to the next YouTuber’s channel. Dont forget to comment on my video for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Brutus Monroe!
