Welcome back, friends! I am so excited to share TWO clear stamp sets from Spellbinder’s today! The first set is this THANKS A BUNCH stamp set, which features a fun ice cream cone that you can fill with a variety of florals!
I used my BRUTUS MONROE SURFACE INKS to ink up these stamps before stamping them onto my paper. I first stamped out the cone, then added the flowers. I did not worry about doing any masking, I simply stamped them out. A few of the flowers are overlapping each other, but these inks give great coverage and dont muddy when stamped over each other, so the end result turned out beautifully!
I then stamped a few leaves into the bouquet using my embossing ink and some GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER. I love the addition of some shiny gold accents! My sentiment is also stamped and embossed in this gold embossing powder. I cut the sentiment into two strips and then added it to the side with some foam adhesive.
To finish the background of this card, I added some FALLEN SNOW GLITTER GLAZE over a broad stripe stencil. After the glaze was dry, I just adhered my floral cone and sentiments in front. I finished off the card with a few sparkling sequins, and then added it to a MIDNIGHT CARDSTOCK card base. Beautiful!
My next card features the LAYERED BUTTERFLIES stamp set. This set has several sizes and styles of butterflies. Each one has a solid base layer and then the more detailed top layer. I decided to do what I like to call “watercolor stamping” on this card.
For watercolor stamping, I like to take a solid stamp image and apply some watercolor pigments to it. For this card, I used several of my AQUA PIGMENTS. I applied the liquid watercolor directly onto the stamp, and then carefully stamped it onto some on watercolor paper. I like to hole my stamp there for a few seconds just to let the watercolor sink into the paper. Then, I carefully lift the stamp to reveal what looks like a loose, watercolored shape of the stamp.
On top of my “watercolored” image, I embossed the detail layer in more GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER. I just love how this powder shines, and it gives a great added interest to the card!
I then added some watercolor splatters, some sequins, and stamped the sentiment in black. The whole front card panel is then adhered to a white card base to finish it off. Simple, but so pretty!
I hope you enjoyed a look at these two stamp sets. I love making soft and pretty cards, and these stamp sets worked wonderfully for that!
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time,
Marie Nicole
