Welcome, friends! I hope you have been enjoying today’s COLOR CRUSH BLOG HOP! If you haven’t been hopping, just follow along with the links below to visit all the Inspiration Team members from Brutus Monroe. They have created some amazing things!
For my card today, I followed the color palette that the team was challenged with. I did not use every color. Instead, I used the blues and added a pop of red.
I started by taking some SEA CARDSTOCK and stamping the Unity Background stamp, MERRY CHRISTMAS over it using my OZ SURFACE INK.
Next, I die cut the trees with a birchwood forest die that I got from Taylored Expressions. The trees usually cover the whole background, but I cut out some of the trees so just a few would help frame the lefthand side.
After layering on the birchwood die, I stamped out the poinsettia from a previous Brutus Monroe Holiday Card Kit, and then colored it in using my AQUA PIGMENTS. I then fussy cut the flower out, and layered it over my card using foam adhesive.
Lastly, just to add some embellishment, I added a few flat-back pearls here and there. I decided to not add a sentiment, since there are so many words going on in the background already!
Thanks for stopping by today! Please continue hopping along if you haven’t already!

This card is pretty. The different elements come together nicely. Particularly like the addition of the trees. Gives it a home like feeling. Nice texture.
