Clean and Simple Woodland Thank You Card

Welcome to the Brutus Monroe Thank You Card Blog Hop! We are sharing thank you cards today in case you need a little inspiration on cards to make and send out to say “thanks” for all the Christmas cheer you received!

For my card, I went super quick and simple. We are all busy this time of year, and even when the parties die down and the visitors go home, we sometimes just need a few minutes to breathe again! I figured I wouldn’t make the thank you cards harder than they needed to be!

I made a top folding, A2 sized card base using the LUNCHBAG cardstock (which is my favorite kraft, BTW!). Then, I cut a panel to mat on the front out of regular white cardstock.

I then trimmed off a narrow strip of MASKING PAPER and added it to the bottom third of my white cardstock panel. With this area masked off, I began to stamp the branches and leaves along the border using my WINTER WOODLANDS stamp and stencil set. This set come with several images of woodland creatures, as well as some of the branches and leaves you see here.

I wanted to stay with greens and browns on this card to achieve a more “natural” look, so I used my JURASSIC, SUEDE, SAGE, and ENVY Surface Inks.

Once I had all the images stamped out, I carefully peeled up the strip of masking paper. Then, I grabbed my SUPER SENTIMENTAL stamp set and chose a “thank you” sentiment to fit perfectly among my stamped images. I stamped this sentiment out in black, and then added some ICICLE EMBOSSING POWDER over it before the ink could dry. This way, I could make the sentiment a shiny, black image.

I wanted to add a little more black detail to the card to tie in with the black sentiment, so I grabbed a black pen and drew on the lines to surround the sentiment.

Finally, I mounted my card panel to the card base using my FOAM ADHESIVE, and then adhered some coordinating sequins to the front.

Super simple card! If you wanted to make  a number of these, just keep that strip of masking paper and use it again and again!

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll have a list of items I used on this card linked below if you are interested. Otherwise, please follow the list of names linked below to visit the rest of the team’s blogs to see what they created for you today! Happy hopping!
