Glitter Drop Blog Hop!

Welcome back, crafty friends! For today’s Brutus Monroe blog hop, I am sharing some fun ways to create with GLITTER DROPS! These Glitter Drops are in a 1oz squeeze bottle and is a medium that dries with some dimension. They are also flexible after they dry, so there is no cracking or flaking if your project bends.

I decided to have some fun with these Glitter Drops and attempt to make little fairies that I can then place on my cards. I took my FLYING FAIRY stencil from Brutus Monroe and applied the Glitter Drops over the stencil and on to my CRAFT MAT. I then let the fairies dry completely. Since I applied these fairies to my non-stick craft mat, once they were dry, they were easy to carefully peel up. The dry fairies all stayed intact, and I was able to place them on my card to build a scene.

For my first card shown here, I taped down my card front so I could do some ink blending. The colors I used were, ZEST, CABBAGE, OZ, and BERMUDA. I like how the colors fade into each other, with the green creating the perfect glowing background for a forest! I used some tree dies to layer over my background, and then placed the fairies and stamped the sentiment with my SUPER SENTIMENTAL stamp set.

This next card is created much the same way as the first. Again, I taped down the edges of my card so I could ink blend a background. My colors for this card were HONEYSUCKLE, MARSALA, PLUM, and then a little MIDNIGHT around the top edges. This created the perfect twilight sky! I layered on some flower die cuts, and then added my fairies. I then stamped the sentiment in black ink, this time the sentiment is from the LUCKY YOU stamp set.

I love how both of these cards turned out! So bright and colorful with a touch of shimmer. I also added a little more shimmer to each card by splattering on some PEARL AQUA PIGMENTS to the purple card, and some GOLD LIQUID ELEMENTS to my green forest card. You can kind of see the spots in the photos, but when you look at the cards in person and turn them in the light, they really shine!

If you would like to step it up a bit and add some more color to your fairies, you can also color over them with alcohol markers! This opens up so many creative possibilities!
