Hey there, crafty friends! I’m sharing some sweet cards with you today featuring the DONUTS STAMP SET from The Stamp Market! I knew I had to play with these cute little donuts as soon as I saw them at Creativation this year! This is a small stamp set that comes with a few yummy donut images, a variety of sprinkles to add on top, and two super cute sentiments!
I started out by using my PINSTRIPE BACKGROUND STAMP to stamp onto a piece of white cardstock using the color, SPECKLED EGG ink from Brutus Monroe. This is a blue-ish green color that I paired with some HONEYSUCKLE CARDSTOCK. The mint and pink combination of colors is one of my favorites!
After my background was stamped out, I die cut a heart out of my pinstripe card panel. I then also die cut the heart from the Honeysuckle cardstock. Then, I just swapped the hearts, creating two card fronts!
I adhered each card front down to a white cardstock base, and also adhered the hearts, as well. Then, I die cut a number of the donuts, as well as the frosting for the top. These parts I cut out of white cardstock, and then colored them using some more colors of SURFACE INK which I ink blended on. I used SUGAR CONE for the donut, and then HONEYSUCKLE for one of the frostings. The other frostings I again used SPECKLED EGG to stamp on some light sprinkles. I then assembled all my donuts by adhering the frosting down with foam adhesive.
For my first card, the one that says, “love ya, sweet thing”, I die cut the “love” from my Lawn Fawn SCRIPTY LOVE DIE. Then, I cut out the ‘O’ and added the donut there instead! I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto a strip of SEA CARDSTOCK and embossed in ALABASTER WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER.
I added a little white bow, and this card was finished!
My second card I used the sentiment, “thanks a hole bunch” to turn this one into more of a generic thank you card, rather than a Valentine’s Day card. I arranged the donuts that I had already assembled, and then again embossed the sentiment on a strip of SEA CARDSTOCK with some more ALABASTER EMBOSSING POWDER.
Both cards coordinate so well since I used all the same papers and colors, they could be given as a set! I love that Brutus Monroe even has coordinating envelopes, so I photographed these cards with a SEA ENVELOPE in the background.
I love showing how you can take a small stamp set, or even just a few small images and still build some cute cards using items you already have in your stash!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today! I hope you love these sweet little cards as much as I do. The clean and simple layouts with the color combination is putting these cards in the running as my new favorites!
Until next time,
