Welcome back, crafty friends! This week, Im hopping along with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team to show off the WORD DIES that are available in store! Im sharing how you can use both the sentiment dies and the alphabet dies to create a custom sentiment.
Also, I built a cute background for this bright and springy card by stamping out the Brutus Monroe Stamp Club stamp for the month of February! Dont you just love this cute little bunny peep?
I started by stamping out the background with The Stamp Market’s PINSTRIPE BACKGROUND STAMP. I used both HONEYSUCKLE and SPECKLED EGG Surface Inks to create this pastel background. The colors are very light, but still add something special to this card!
I then stamped out all the little bunnies with Versafine Black ink, and then colored them in with a few colored Prismacolor Pencils. After they were all colored, I fussy cut them out, and adhered them to my background with some Brutus Monroe CRAFT GLUE.
To build the sentiment, I die cut the word “peeps” with both the uppercase and lowercase alphabet dies. I have both cards featured in my video. Just the lowercase dies are pictured here. For this paticular card, I borrowed a sentiment from another stamp set and embossed in white, and then added the alpha dies below.
I also matted the sentiment on a piece of vellum, so it would not get lost against the background.
This turned out to be a very simple card, but I love that you can make any kind of sentiment you want with the help of these dies!
Thanks for stopping by! Please follow the list of names below to go see what the rest of the Inspiration Team has created! Happy hopping!
HAPPY HOPPING!
