Hey, friends! I have a quick and cute little card to share today, featuring the TUX die set from Spellbinders! This is a cute little set that cuts out a penguin, an iceburg that you can layer a few pieces on, and some accessories to add to your penguin. I didn’t add the accessories on this card, but theres a cute scarf and earmuffs that you could add if you would like to!

I began by die cutting all my pieces and then assembling them. For the colored pieces, I used a variety of cardstocks from Brutus Monroe. For the iceburgs, I cut them from white cardstock, and then cut some of the detail layer pieces from some FALLEN SNOW GLITTERSTOCK. I think adding a layer of glitter really added a little something special!

I set my die cut pieces to the side while I worked on the background. I used my SURFACE INKS along with my OVAL SIMPLE BLENDS to create the purplish background. Then, I masked off the bottom area of the oval with washi tape and blended on some blue ink to make it look like some icy water. I wanted to keep most of my ink blending very light.

I then added my die cuts. Now, you can use the ice pieces as iceburgs, like I did here, or you can turn them around for icy mountains. Multiple uses is always a win!

I wanted to add a bit of interest behind the penguin without distracting too much from the rest of the card, so I stamped out the swirly image from the OUT OF THIS WORLD stamp set and embossed it in FAIRY DUST EMBOSSING POWDER. This powder is simply a clear powder with lots of glittery sparkle to it.

I then stamped the sentiment from the stamp set, SPRINKLED WITH LOVE. This set is super cute but sadly will be retired soon! I will link to it below in case you want to check it out, but I apologize if it is already sold out.

That’s all for today! Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
