All of the designers on the team are so incredibly talented- you wont want to miss out!
For today’s post, I wanted to share this bold card I created using the new Brutus Monroe HAPPY ROSE stamp set, as well as the April stencil of the month to create the background.
I started by blending some GARGOYLE Surface Ink over that gorgeous stencil. I made sure to keep the stencil positioned more near the top, so I would get some white space on the bottom of the card.
Then, I stamped out my rose using Detail Ink, and colored it in using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. These markers are so fun to play with! I like to stamp on watercolor paper, and then spread to color using my Aqua Water Brushes from Brutus Monroe.
After my image was colored and dry, I fussy cut it out so I could layer it over my card. I wanted to make a unique frame for my rose, so I trimmed down some paper into a triangle shape. I layered some Raven cardstock behind my triangle, and then added a frame of gold Glitterstock as well. I think the gold and the red from the rose really pops out against the black and white color scheme of the card!
To finish my card, I used some foam tape to pop up the front panel on a white cardstock base. This card was quite simple to put together, but the bold design of the stencil and that bright red rose makes it stand out!

Really like how the triangle balances the detailed background. Adds just enough whitespace and brings my eye to the beautiful rose.

Thanks, Robin! I definitely didnt want the stenciled background to be too busy, but I think it works!
