Brutus Monroe June Stamp of the Month

Hello, crafty friends! I am excited to be able to share the June Stamp of the Month with you! This cute little cassette is a blast from the past! I love that it also comes with several sentiments that fit perfectly inside the title area on the cassette. Of course, you can always write in your own title, as well.

I decided to make a long and slim card. This card is an A10 size card, and will fit inside a matching envelope. The base is some kraft cardstock, and then I used some MIDNIGHT CARDSTOCK for the front panel. I also cut strips of SCARLET CARDSTOCK to layer some stripes onto my card.

To add some fun embellishments, I ink blended a piece of white cardstock, and then die cut a ton of stars using some dies from a past Inspiration Box. I then added them all over the front of my card.

I stamped and cut out the cassette tapes three times, and colored them in with my STYLEFILE MARKERS.

I added my cassettes to the front of my card with foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I used a stamp from the ROCK ON STAMP SET. I embossed the sentiment in ALABASTER EMBOSSING POWDER on a piece of vellum, and then fussy cut it out.

It can be tricky to adhere vellum sometimes, but to hide my adhesive, I cut some very thin pieces of foam and hid it behind the embossed areas on the sentiment.

That finishes the card for today! I am in love with this little cassette image, and I think there are so many creative uses for it!
