Hey, friends! Are any of you succulent lovers? I have to admit, these cute little plants have grown on me (pun intended!), so when I saw this NEW SUCCULENT BORDER STAMP from Brutus Monroe, I knew I had to have it!
This stamp is a large 6×6 stamp, which stamps out a frame of lovely succulents. You could color this stamp, add a sentiment, and have a card. I wanted to show you today, however, how you could fussy cut a few of those succulents to use as embellishments on a card!
I have always enjoyed the look of these succulents in a gold terrarium. I created my own terrarium by cutting a few thin strips of glitterstock, and then gluing them together in a terrarium shape.
I then fussy cut and colored a few of the succulents. Once completely colored, I glued them into my terrarium.
I then decided to do a super simple Aqua Pigment squished background. I used the colors Yellow Green, Blue Green, and Lavendar, and squished them onto my cardstock, using a piece of plastic.
I made sure to place the colors near each other that would blend nicely; so, the blue and green together, and then the blue and purple. These are all colors I also used in coloring the succulents, so I made sure to try to coordinate them.
I then stamped the sentiment that comes with this stamp set using my Misti and my Detail ink. I knew you would be able to see the sentiment on the side, even though I planned on gluing my terrarium right over it.
With the terrarium glued down, my card front was finished! I just added some foam adhesive to the back, and adhered it down to a white card base!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
Until next time,
