Hey, friends! Did you catch the Fun Stamper’s Journey Summer Launch Party this past weekend? If not, no worries! We have a fun blog hop today to show off the new goodies!
If you want to see ALL THE NEW THINGS FROM THIS LAUNCH, CLICK HERE!
I am playing around with the SPACE CADETS and CRITTERNAUT stamp sets. There are also some additional items that coordinate with these sets to help you create some fun cards and projects!
For my first card today, I decided to make a shaker card to show off this beautiful shaker mix! I started by ink blending a purpleish-blue background for my card. Then, I cut a suqare frame for my window. After I added some clear plastic to my frame, I added foam adhesive all around the sides, being sure to leave no gaps where the sequins and shaker bits could fall out.
I then added a pile of these amazing shaker bits in the center of my ink blended background, and carefully layered the window frame over it. This sealed in the shaker mix and created my shaker card!
I finished the card with a few stamped and embossed images and a sentiment. I also added a few of those amazing outer space stickers to the front and they look fantastic!
This next card took a little longer to make, but it was so much fun to build a scene! I ink blended the background of this A10 card using some orange and grey tones. I then splattered on lots of Fun Stamper’s Journey’s Sparkle Silk to create shiny stars.
I then stamped out rows of these space rocks from the stamp sets and fussy cut them out, creating layers of rocky space terrain to build my scene on.
I layered these terrain pieces over each other, using different heights of foam adhesive to make them pop out. Then, I just tucked in some of the stamped images from the set, like this astronaut and rocket ship! Too fun! There are also some little alien characters in the set that you could add to this scene if you wanted to!
The gold stars in the sky are pieces that I picked out of the shaker mix and I think they look fantastic on this scene.
My 4yr old son loved this card, as well! He saw it and told me that it was Neil Armstrong stepping onto the moon. He’s a bit of an outer space geek at the moment! 😉
