Welcome back to the blog, friends! Ive been creating with the Steampunk stamp set from Brutus Monroe lately, and today I wanted to share a few floral cards that you can easily make with this set.
I started by taking just the floral image from the set, and stamping it in a random pattern on some smooth white cardstock. I used my Misti for this so I could get the placement right, and also to stamp several times for a crisp impression.
I stamped out two card bases, using the same method for both so they would be similar. I did positive coloring on one, and negative coloring on the other. For the positive coloring, I colored the actual images and used greens and reds to bring these gorgeous roses to life.
For my negative coloring, I colored the negative space in between the roses, and left the images uncolored. You could definitely color the images, as well, but I like the monochrome black and white look of this card.
I finished both of my cards with some simple but bold die cut sentiments. I used the Bold Alpha Dies from Altenew, and an older Hero Arts stamp and die set to cut the word, “prayers”.
Two very simple cards to create! All you need is a stamp and a few markers.
