Hey, crafty friends! I just had to squeeze in a few last fall/ thank you cards before the Thanksgiving season is over. I used the Falliday Silhouettes stamp set from Brutus Monroe to do some simple stamping for these cards.
This stamp set is included in the November Inspiration Box from Brutus Monroe. There are also so many other goodies in this box! I used some of the plaid patterned paper from the box as an accent strip to both of these cards.
I began by simply adding some fall ink colors to the stamps. Since I love showing off the graduation of colors with fall leaves, I added several different colors right onto my stamp before stamping on my paper. I made sure to add colors that I know will blend well together. Also, when doing this multi-color stamping, I make sure to stamp several times in order to get the colors to blend a bit. It doesn’t matter if your colors overlap- in fact- its almost better if they do! That way, you end up with a better ombre look to your leaves.
I did two cards by using the exact same formula of stamping. The only difference between the two is that for one card, I stamped the leaves into a wreath design, and the other card has a pattern of leaves stamped mostly on the top and lefthand side, leaving the bottom right corner open for the sentiment.
The sentiment is a die from Tonic Studios and cut from some gold cardstock. I added a few shiny gold sequins to both cards to finish them off, and then added foam adhesive behind the stamped panels and added to the front of my card bases.
Simple cards to make if you love stamping! It is fun to experiment with different colors and see which leaves end up being your favorite combinations.
I hope you love these cards as much as I do! Have a wonderful season of giving thanks, crafty friends!
Until next time,
