Sweet N Sassy Stamps- In His Image

Hello, crafty friends! Im so excited to be doing some guest designing with Sweet N Sassy Stamps this month! They have so many cute stamp sets, as well as inspirational stamps that can be used on cards or in Bible journaling.

I saw this stamp set, IN HIS IMAGE, and I absolutely fell in love with the images and the message of the sentiments. I don’t do much Bible journaling (although I do have a journaling Bible), so I decided to use these stamps on a few uplifting cards.

What a fun way to send a reminder that we are created IN HIS IMAGE and FOR A PURPOSE!

To create this card:

  • Stamp images using some black ink. Use masking techniques to layer images over each other.
  • Color images using medium of your choice. For these, I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and spread the pigment with some clean water
  • Once your coloring is finished, add colorful splats of pigment by brushing the Zigs right onto the paint splatter stamp. Then, spritz with a little clean water to get the color running.
  • Stamp onto your paper! By making sure to add colors next to each other that mix, you will get a beautiful rainbow splatter effect!
  • Once all the stamping and coloring is dry, go ahead and stamp your sentiment in the desired position.
  • Use Nuvo drops to add dimensional paint to the paint palette.

Im not an expert on Bible journaling, but if you use watercolor in your journaling, you could definitely use the watercolor stamping technique to add these colorful paint splatters in your Bible, as well.

Sweet N Sassy Stamps also has a variety of other stamp sets that can be used in Bible journaling or on faith based cards. Head over to their shop to check out all the creative possibilities!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
