Cute Chemists by My Favorite Things

Hey, friends! If you follow MY INSTAGRAM, you  may have already seen this card posted there! I have been loving my new stamp sets from MY FAVORITE THINGS lately, and this set has been on my wish list for some time. The sentiments in this set are just as equally epic as the images themselves!

My Favorite Things Stamps- Cute Chemists- Marie Nicole Designs-1579My Favorite Things Stamps- Cute Chemists- Marie Nicole Designs-1581I started this card by stamping and embossing the images onto some Bristol smooth paper. This Bristol paper is the perfect choice for coloring with your Zig real brush markers, which is what I used. After all my images were colored, I fussy cut them and set them aside.

For my background, I masked off the bottom portion of the card front with painters tape. Then, I used my Rays the Roof stencil from Heffy Doodle to ink blend the green color onto the background. After peeling off the tape, it revealed a perfectly straight line along the bottom for me to create a floor with.

I decided to add the sentiment right over the ink blended background by stamping and embossing.

Next, I added a little shadow onto the floor with a light grey alcohol marker, and then popped the cute chemist over the shadow using foam adhesive. I also added the beakers with foam adhesive.

After all the images were added to my background, I popped the card front onto an A2 sized card, and then added some glossy accents over the beakers, so the would look like glass. It is a little difficult to see the glossy accents on the photos, but if you tip the card in the light, it gives off a nice shine!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’ve enjoyed this card as much as I loved creating it.

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
