Hey, friends! Im getting back into the blogging scene since being away for Creativation. I was able to see so many crafty friends and even ran into Lesley from Heffy Doodle! So today, I’m using this super cute stamp set from Heffy Doodle, Quill You Be Mine? These darling hedgehogs are perfect for creating a Valentine’s Day card theme.

Stamp and Color
To begin my card, I stamped out all the images using my Gina K Amalgam ink and my trusty MISTI. I then colored all the images in using my Copics. I recently got the flesh tone set of Copics from Amazon, so the colors in that set were the perfect browns for these hedgehogs.
Stencil a Background
For the background of my card, I used the stencil Rays the Roof from Heffy Doodle to ink blend some blue rays into the sky. Then, I ink blended the green grassy hill to layer over the sky. My letters that spell “hugs” are die cut from Altenew’s Bold Caps Alpha die set. I ink blended the letters with Abandoned Coral, and then used a Scrapbook.com stencil to add the little hearts. I love how the letters pop out from behind the little hill!
Assemble the Scene
Once all of my pieces were ready, all I had to do was assemble them onto my card to create a scene. I added the grassy hill with foam adhesive, and then glued the die cut letters behind. I added the hedgehogs with a mix of foam adhesive and glue, and then popped the whole front card panel over my card base using the 2″ wide foam tape from Scrapbook.com. I love this wide tape! It is perfect for popping up card fronts.
