Welcome back, crafty friends! Im sharing the Spellbinder’s Glimmer Kit for the month of March. This month, the kit has three decorative eggs that you can foil, as well as some spring sentiments and a few coordinating dies. I combined all these pieces (and even snuck in the bunny from the SMALL DIE KIT FOR MARCH) to create a fun, spring card.

Glimmer and Die Cut
To begin this card, I glimmered a number of the eggs, and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also cut more eggs using the additional egg dies in the kit. This allowed me to have a number of different sizes of eggs, as well as styles. I had the large glimmered eggs, and the smaller crackle eggs that I applied Nuvo’s Crackle Mousse to.
Create a Background
For the background of my card, I used some white pigment ink and stenciled some stripes onto a pink cardstock. I love the subtle stripes in the background. To me, nothing says Easter eggs more than stripes, polka dots, and chevrons!
Make a Die Cut Arrangement
After I had my background finished, as well as all my pieces die cut, all I had left to do was arrange them onto my card. I made the large glimmered egg my focal point, and arranged the smaller crackle eggs around it. Then, I added the glimmered sentiment strip underneath. I used a mix of foam adhesive and liquid glue to vary the heights. I also nestled in a little die cut bunny from Spellbinder’s SMALL DIE KIT for the month of March. The Glimmer Kit and the Small Die Kit both have a spring theme, so they work so well together!
Last, to finish my card, I added some golden oval gemstones here and there on my card. I love how the oval shape echoes the eggs on the card, as well as the shine from the glimmered egg!
Don’t Stop at Cards
You definitely aren’t limited to creating just cards with this Glimmer Kit! I went ahead and created a few very simple gift bags just by cutting strips of patterned paper and folding to make a matchbox-style gift bag. I added the Glimmered eggs on front and tied with some baker’s twine. A simple a charming gift that you could use as table place cards or easter basket fillers for the kids!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you love this month’s Glimmer Kit, and are ready to get creating with it! I have all items listed below if you are interested in checking them out.
Until next time,
