Die Cut All Your Pieces
I began this card by doing a ton of die cutting. I used colored cardstock and die cut a good supply of all the pieces. I cut out several bunnies, several eggs, and large quantity of the greenery and flowers. I wanted to have a lot of pieces on hand so that I could easily grab them and add them to my card.
Add Texture With Embossing Folder
I wanted to add a little texture to my background, and thought that the Wood Grain Embossing Folder from Fun Stampers Journey would be perfect for that. I ran that through my Platinum 6 to add the design to my card background. Then, I cut some blue cardstock, stenciled on some white polka dots with pigment ink, and added that over my background with foam adhesive.
Assemble Your Spring Wreath
I used the egg die to cut the frame and inside piece of the egg out of both white glitter card and gold cardstock. I then added lots of the greenery and floral pieces all around the egg frame in order to create a spring wreath. I added this wreath to my background after it was assembled, and then placed one of the bunnies inside. I gave the bunny a little crackle egg that was die cut from the GLIMMER KIT for MARCH. I love how these two kits work so well together, since they both have a spring theme.
After my bunny was added, I placed the sentiment below the egg. The sentiment was foiled using the March Glimmer Kit. I also finished off this card by embellishing with some small, clear sequins and some purple baker’s twine.
Gift Card Envelopes
After I created my cute spring card, I decided to use these dies for another purpose! I used the envelope dies from the January Glimmer Kit and cut out some envelopes to embellish. These will be the perfect size to add gift cards to- either for birthdays or as Easter gifts!
I simply cut the envelopes from some double sided patterned paper in spring colors. Then, I added the Small Die of the Month pieces on the envelope flaps. If you wanted to, you could add a sentiment or the person’s name on front to personalize. Maybe add a gift card for your favorite coffee place and slip it into your loved one’s Easter basket this year!
So many fun spring ideas with this month’s kit!
