Christmas in… April? It is NEVER too early to start your Christmas cards! Today, I get to show off the Small Die Kit from Spellbinders for the month of April. This kit not only has a few holiday dies, but also some dies that allow you to create wedding-themed projects. There is also an add-on that includes more sentiment dies.
These dies are designed to go along with the TRUCKIN THROUGH THE SEASONS die set, and the sentiments in today’s kit fit perfectly as a license plate on the back. I don’t have this truck die set, but I wanted to show how you can also use this month’s kit without it.

Die Cut your Pieces
I began my Christmas card by choosing all the cardstock colors I wanted to use. I chose a few grey hues for my card base, and then some red, blue, green, and gold for the rest. My white cardstock is a shimmery cardstock that adds some nice shine when you tip the card.
I die cut all the pieces for my card and glued the layers together. I show in the video above how these pieces fit together!
Arrange, Adhere, Embellish
I finished all my die cutting and assembling, so I just had to arrange and adhere all my die cut pieces. I chose to group these three ornaments on the front of my card, popping up the middle ornament with foam adhesive for more dimension. I also added the “holidays” license plate sentiment underneath the blue ornament.
To finish this card, I added some gold sequin saucers. I tucked them in and around my ornaments to make it look more Christmas-y!
Not Ready for Christmas?
Not ready to start on Christmas cards? No problem! This kit also has some dies that work great for wedding cards. Again, the idea is to use these dies to fill the back of the truck in the TRUCKIN THROUGH THE SEASONS DIE KIT. I’m showing how to use the kit without this die set!
I just die cut these cute balloons, and then cut out the little letters from the inside to spell the word “just”. I then cut the license plate sentiment, “married”, to finish the sentiment.
I adhered the die cut pieces onto a navy blue cardstock rectangle with foam adhesive. I also folded the bow in a different way than I used them for my Christmas ornaments. I show in my video how I folded it to get a different look.
For embellishment, I added some shiny confetti pieces and finished off this card!
I hope this gives you some ideas and inspiration for using this month’s Small Die kit from Spellbinders!
Until next time,
