Cut Your Layering Pieces
I made two cards with June’s Small Die Kit. Both of them are similar styles, with just a few tweaks to change them up a bit. I went ahead and cut out all the die pieces, making sure to cut extra so I had plenty to work with. I cut them out of white Bristol Smooth paper, because I wanted to add some watercolor with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I absolutely love the vibrant colors the Zigs produce.
Color Your Die Cuts
Like I mentioned, I colored all my die pieces using my Zig markers. I added just a bit of color, and then spread the color out with a water brush. I added several layers of color over each other for some depth and shading.
Once all my pieces were colored, I glued them together with some Journey Glue. Then, for the sentiment, I scribbled a little of my blue Zig onto a card base, and spread that color out with a water brush, as well.
Glimmer the Sentiment
Once the watercolor was dry, I added the sentiments with the June Glimmer Kit. This month, the Glimmer kit is full of a variety of sentiments in a beautiful scripty style. I glimmered them in black foil, and I absolutely love the look it achieved. The black sentiment along with the pop of color from the flowers looks so vibrant!
Thanks for stopping by today to take a look at the June Small Die Kit! I hope this has given you some fresh inspiration to get started crafting!
