Rainbow Hearts with Spellbinder’s Expressions of Love

Hey there, friends! Welcome back!

I’m sharing a post featuring the Expressions of Love collection from Spellbinders. This is such a cute collection that includes these intricate heart dies, a new heart glimmer plate, a couple of people that you can add to the Sunday Drive die set, and some sentiments.

I have played with this collection before, and my post was featured on the SPELLBINDERS BLOG. If you want to see the whole post, please head on over there, but for now here is a little peek of what I created previously.

Die Cut the Rainbow

This time, I used mainly the hearts and the sentiments. I die cut the heart out of five different bright colors of card stock and then arranged them in rainbow order on my background.

The background I glimmered with the hearts glimmer plate and some clear foil before adding the hearts. This gives some subtle white hearts to the background. You cant see them well until you tip the card in the light, and I love having this pattern in the background!

Add Some Sewn Details

I don’t always use my sewing machine… but when I do I use it on paper.

Seriously.

I think the look of adding some stitches to your cards is so adorable. I ran this card through my sewing machine after gluing down the rainbow hearts. I left the edges unglued, so they could pop up a little, and then I sewed right down the center of all the hearts. I also added a stitched edge around my card front. Too cute!

Add A Sentiment and Embellish!

To finish my card, I added the card front to a card base with foam adhesive.

Then, I added the sentiment. I cut the word “love” four times and then the word “love” once from white paper. I added a word to each heart.

To embellish, I glued some tiny hearts onto my die cut hearts, matching the rainbow colors.

Hopefully this card puts a smile on your face today! Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
