Spellbinders February Glimmer Kit

New month, new Glimmer Club Kit from Spellbinders!

This month, the kit is a set of nesting glimmer frames. These have a scalloped-type look to them and are so pretty to add to your cards. I created a double frame on today’s card, and I have a video showing the kit as well as the creative process for this card.

Cut It Up!

While my Glimmer machine was heating up, I stamped and quickly colored a floral background. Then, using my set of rectangle dies from Spellbinders, I cut the background apart to end up with two floral frames.

Glimmer!

I took the frames that I cut out and glimmered them with some gold hot foil. In hindsight, it would have been easier to glimmer first and then cut my background apart, but both ways will work.

After glimmering, I was left with two floral frames that had a gorgeous gold foil frame around them!

Put It Back Together!

To finish my card, I took both frames and added them back together on the card. The largest frame around the outside is glued down to my card base, The next frame inside is popped up on foam adhesive.

I love that the design of the florals carries over to both frames even with the differing heights.

After my frames were assembled, I added the foiled sentiment and my card was finished!

Thanks for stopping by today to see the February Glimmer Club Kit from Spellbinders! As always, I have a list of links (affiliate) below if you are interested in checking out what I used on today’s card.

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
