Spellbinder’s February Club Kits + BLOG HOP!

Welcome, friends! I hope you are enjoying this month’s Club Kits from Spellbinders!

I am sharing another way to use this month’s Glimmer Kit. The kit is full of scalloped frames that are so cute! I used them in today’s card to create a number of rectangle areas to ink blend inside of, resulting in a fun color block design!

To see the full kit, take a look at my video below:

February Glimmer Kit

Glimmer Frames

My first card I created with this Glimmer Kit was made by glimmering the frames over a stamped and colored background, and then cutting the frames apart with Spellbinder’s rectangle dies. The rectangle dies coordinate really well with these glimmer frames. Then, I added the frames back together on the front of my card, popping up the inside frame on some foam for dimension.

Then I simply added the glimmered sentiment. Easy and fun!

Framed Color Blocks

For today’s post with the February Glimmer Kit, I wanted to add some glimmered frames around some bold blocks of color. Now, you know I have used the color block technique multiple times on other posts, but I just cannot get enough of it! I love combining colors and making bold, geometric designs.

I started by glimmering the frames multiple times on my card background, trying to keep them all evenly spaced between. Then, I taped them off and ink blended inside the frames. For the large coral frame, I also stamped some hearts over, using the same color, so I could achieve a tone-on-tone design.

I finished by adding the sentiment which is die cut from some Spellbinder’s sentiment dies!

Every Frame Needs a Photo

Of course, if you have a frame, you need a photo, right? I also took these glimmer frames to some of my journaling cards I have, and added photos to them. Super easy, cute, and fun! Great way to glimmer up your albums.

You could also add some glimmered titles to your photos to glam it up a bit!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have some more inspiration for this month’s Club Kits from Spellbinders. Please keep following along with the list of names below to continue hopping!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
