How fun is the glimmer kit this month from Spellbinders? I adore this huge “happy birthday” glimmer plate along with all the fun supporting sentiments that go along. You can choose to make a sweet card, or something a little more snarky.

Glimmer Those Sentiments!
In the above video, I give some tips on glimmering on photo paper, which is what I did with my sentiments here. Yana created an excellent video describing the best papers to foil on for best results. I was blown away by the results I achieved by taking her advice and trying photo paper! It is definitely something to try, but keep in mind the few tips I share in my video!
After glimmering my sentiments, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I also used the die for the large “happy birthday” to cut out a few more shadows to layer behind the sentiment, using bright, rainbow colors. I glued all the layers together and then added it to a background that I glimmered stars on.
The stars are not included with this month’s kit, but it is a fabulous glimmer plate available at Spellbinders. I’ll have it linked with the product list at the end of this post!
Glimmer a Background
A glimmered background with a glimmered sentiment? Yes, please! You just cannot have too much glimmer. I used a few Spellbinders plates to add a fune background. The stars and the stripes are glimmer plates available at Spellbinders and I will link them below. You could change up the color of foil you use, but I went with the same foil for both the sentiment and the background.
I like having my bright colors come from my cardstock on these cards, and the shimmer from the foil. It really adds to a festive, birthday feel!
I also chose to make these cards in a mini slimline size. I thought the size of the sentiment fit just perfectly on a 3X6 card front, and I do love how it turned out! If you haven’t made mini slimlines yet, give it a try! They are a fun size!
That’s all I have for you today, I hope you enjoyed a look at June’s Glimmer Kit from Spellbinders!
Until next time,
