Yana’s Blooms – New Glimmer Plates from Spellbinders!

Hey, there friends!

I’m back on the blog with some new cards to share. I created these using the Yana’s Blooms glimmer plates that are available at Spellbinders!

These glimmer plates are simply beautiful, and so fun to create with.

Glimmered Marble

My first card is created using the glimmer set by Yana that has this fun marble design in it. I used the glimmer plate along with some gold foil to glimmer some shiny marbled streaks onto photo paper.

Yes, photo paper. If you want a truly perfectly glimmered impression, photo paper is an excellent choice because it is so smooth! The foil sticks to it so well.

I then used some mica shimmer spray to add the pink color to my background.

Using the spray over photo paper and adding some foiling was such an easy way to achieve a faux marble background!

I then cut out the heart area, and popped it up on foam adhesive, but not before I glimmered the sentiment with black foil.

I added a supporting sentiment by foiling onto black cardstock and cutting it down to a thin strip.

Ink Blended Background

My second card was pretty simple, as well. I glimmered the geographic shape and used the coordinating dies to cut it out. Then, I glimmered the sentiment.

I used some Distress Oxides to ink blend a simple background, and then added the foiled splatters using Yana’s new plates and some gold foil.

I popped the background on a card base with foam adhesive, and then added the sentiment panel with some more foam!

To finish off this card, I added some clear sequins. Super simple, but I love the shine of that foil against the bright colors!

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
