Hey, friends! If you’re a crafter you are going to love today’s blog post! Spellbinders has some fun new artist-themed dies and stamps to play with. I have the large palette die set as well as a paintbrush set. Such a fun collection to play with!
I started this card by stenciling a rainbow background. I used my Distress Oxide inks and a fun stencil to ink blend on the color. Then, I added glittery splatters with a Nuvo Midas Touch sparkle pen.
I then added the palette and paintbrush with foam adhesive.
The sentiment is from a previous Glimmer collection and I hot foil stamped it onto the palette using purple foil.
My favorite part of this card was adding some smears of “paint” by squeezing some Pops of Color onto a palette knife and then smearing it onto the palette. I also added a few drop here and there on the paint smears to make it look like paint on the palette.
I did a second simliar card by using the Pops of Color to drag a rainbow down on the background. Then added the palette and some paint from glitter cardstock. So fun and colorful!
For this card, I used the paintbrush die set to create three brushes. I added some color to the bristles using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I popped them onto a background created by smooshing some of the Zig color onto my cardstock. For a fun rainbow effect, I used magenta, yellow, and blue. These three colors can blend together to give you your rainbow colors!
For my final card with these dies, I used the palette to create a palette shaped card! This die is actually quite big, so it works if you cut two pieces and then score the top of one of the pieces. Then, you can add the two palettes together, and lift the top piece to create a fun shaped card!
Again, I used the Pops of Color to add “paint” to my palette.
There are so many fun ways to create with these dies, I hope you were inspired today!
