Parade for Pops! Happy Fathers Day with Pops of Color

Its time to celebrate those Dads in our lives! Father’s Day is almost here.

Does your Dad like bright, bold colors, or something more neutral? I have some cards featuring both of those looks today.

We’re also featuring’s POPS OF COLOR, the smooth, colorful medium that you can add to your projects.

You can drop them, stencil them, apply them with a palette knife- so many possibilities! I have another blog post ALL ABOUT THEM HERE.

Let’s Get Popping!

This first card features the Pops of Color applied with a stencil. I love this use for the Pops because they dry with raised texture. Also, the Pops used here both have a glossy/shiny finish.

I added them over the new PARTY stencil from This is a layering stencil, so it comes with two stencils that layer over each other. You can use the stencil with multiple colors to get a fun party confetti background!

I then added the fun sentiment by die cutting black and gold cardstock. I used the Uptown and Downtown (I got all around the town) alphabet dies from

On the inside of the card, I stamped, “Happy Father’s Day” using the new stamp set CELEBRATE EXPRESSIONS.

To add just a little more “oomph”, I splattered some gold watercolor!

Neutral Does It

Navy blue and sage green are neutrals, right?

I choose to believe so for these next cards. Or, maybe muted would be the right word?

Whatever adjective you use to describe these Pops of Colors, I love how they turned out.

This first card was made by simply applying some Pops with me media spatula. I swiped some left, swiped some right, and swiped some in the middle.

After letting the Pops dry completely, I added some gold watercolor. Yay for more glitter and gold!

This second card was made in much the same way, I just applied the Pops in a different design. These Pops really are so fun to experiment with.

After letting the pops dry on both cards, I stamped the sentiment using the CELEBRATE EXPRESSIONS again. For this second card, I stamped the sentiment onto three little hexagons that I die cut using the NESTED HEXAGONS from Scrapbook.

Hope this leaves you with a bit more inspiration on how to use these POPS for your pops! Or Dad, or Father, or whatever you call the man in your life!
