Pinkfresh Studio June 2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Welcome to the Pinkfresh June Release Blog Hop!

I was able to create using the Folk Floral Stem collection and the Ornate Circle die. How gorgeous are they together?

I started this card by foiling the Folk Floral Stem using my Glimmer machine and some gold foil. Then, I colored in the image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. These are fun to play with- you can add some color and then spread it out using water for that watercolor look.

*TIP: I found that the very best paper to use Zigs on is Bristol Smooth. It gives the best results!

With my Folk Floral stem colored, I cut it out using the coordinating die and then set it aside while I worked on the other elements of my card.

I used the Floral Grid Coverplate die for the background. This is a die that was released previously, but it went with these new items so well I just had to use it. Don’t be afraid to raid your stash to mix and match items!

Then, I cut out the Ornate Circle from gold cardstock.

I also cut the background for the Ornate Circle out of vellum, and then added some ink blending to the vellum. This gives the background a sort of translucent effect thats soft and pretty.

I embellished with some Matte Gold Metallic Pearls, and then finished the card with a sentiment from the new Heart Smiles sentiment and die sets. I cut the sentiment out of vellum several times, stacked them together, and adhered them with some foam adhesive. I like how adding the sentiment onto vellum helps tie in the look with the vellum in the background.

Guess what? A favorite trick of mine when creating with foiling plates is to use that leftover foil again to foil the negatives.

Its so easy to run that foil through your machine again with a heavy shim to give more pressure on the foil. Then you are left with a beautiful foiled image that you can die cut and add to a card!

I’ll admit, this card design ended up not being my favorite, BUT I wanted to show how you are able to use the foil negatives!
