September 2022 Pinkfresh Studios Release!

Welcome to the September 2022 Pinkfresh Studios Release and Blog Hop!

I hope you are getting lots of inspiration with these new items as you make your way through this hop. Please remember to visit each blog along the hop- there are prizes to be won! I’ll add a link to the hop list at the end of my post.

For my cards featuring this hop, I used the new items, SWIRL BACKGROUND, FESTIVE LEAVES BACKGROUND, and MERRY & BRIGHT Foiling plate and die. Not only are these items amazing on their own, they also look fabulous together!

I was honored to be a guest on the CRAFT HOUR to create some of these cards alongside the host, Jeff Lindberg. Catch the replay!

Like I mentioned earlier, I used the MERRY & BRIGHT foiling plate to foil the big, bold sentiment. I actually foiled this sentiment in a variety of colors. I have a whole collection of foil colors so why not make a ton of sentiments while I have my Glimmer machine heated up? I can always keep the extra sentiments on hand to quickly add to more cards as I want. For this card, I used the sentiment foiled in black and I absolutely love how the black foil pops against the dark greens and blues.

I popped that foiled sentiment over the background that I ink blended using the SWIRL BACKGROUND layering stencil set. I have been having so much fun with this stencil! You can use multiple colors with the stencil for a fun swirled look. I also added some glimmer paste to the very last layer for some extra sparkle and shine.

After the background was dry, I added the sentiment with foam adhesive and then embellished it with the FESTIVE LEAVES stencil and die sets. This stencil set is another layering set. I love the layering stencils because it gives so much versatility for use with colors. I chose a variety of greens from Pinkfresh inks, and then gave a pop of red for the berries.

Change Up Your Look

I made a second card for the release, almost exactly the same as my first except changing up the colors and arrangement just a bit.

I used some gold foil this time for the sentiment, and used some red ink for the SWIRL BACKGROUND.

I also changed up the colors I used for the FESTIVE LEAVES. Instead of a more bluish-green, I used brighter greens and it gives the overall card a more traditional Christmas color palette.

I also added a bit of ribbon as a quick final touch.

So many possibilities, so little time! I love how perfect these items look together!

I hope you do, too.
