Bold Rainbow Triangles

Hey, crafty friends! I am hopping along with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team today to show off some of the cardstock that is available in store! Not only does Brutus Monroe have their solid, heavyweight cardstock, but they also have Glitterstock and patterned paper!

For today’s card, I used some of the BOLD RAINBOW PAPER to create a colorful rainbow background!

One of the patterns in the BOLD RAINBOW PACK is all these colorful triangles. I used my scissors to fussy cut along some of the lines to cut out different sizes of triangles. I cut out some of the smaller, single triangles, and also some larger ones.

I knew I wanted to arrange the triangles over my background, but first I wanted to add some ink blended triangles to my card base. I grabbed some SEA CARDSTOCK, created a triangle “stencil” by masking off triangle areas with washi tape, and then added some PLUM SURFACE INK.

I also added a few thin strips of CHARCOAL GLITTERSTOCK on the upper right side. I think the two lines of Glitterstock add some more interest and texture to this card.

I then added all the triangles that I cut out over the background I created; some with foam adhesive and some with liquid glue.

To finish my card, I stamped out one of the sentiments from the Feathered Friends stamp set and embossed it in ALABASTER on top of RAVEN CARDSTOCK. Then, I fussy cut it out and added it to my card with foam adhesive.
