Valentine’s Cookie Bags with Lawn Fawn Bugs and Kisses

I love all things Valentine’s Day (no pun intended!). Right after Christmas I began grabbing all my stamp sets and supplies to begin creating for this fun holiday! Making little treats to give away can be simple yet fun. For today’s post I decided to share a quick project that you can make a number of very quickly- cookie bags with handmade tags!

This Lawn Fawn stamp set that I have, BUGS AND KISSES, is perfect for cute Valentine’s Day projects. I stamped out a number of these cute bug images with my DETAIL INK and then colored in the images using my PRISMACOLOR PENCILS and STYLEFILE MARKERS.

Then, I used my coordinating dies to cut out all my colored images. I also used a heart die from Winnie and Walter to cut my heart tags from some CANVAS CORP BRANDS KRAFT CARDSTOCK. After my hearts were die cut, I simply punched a hole in one side to attach them to my bags of cookies using some twine.

I also stamped the sentiment using my EMBOSSING INK and then embossed with ALABASTER EMBOSSING POWDER. To finish my tags and to add a little sparkle, I used some tiny, clear sequins that I adhered with some craft glue.

A simple project that you can make a number of at once! Perfect for classroom and teacher treats! The cookies I used was just a pack of Pillsbury Sugar cookie dough that I just had to place onto a cookie sheet and bake. After they were baked, and while still hot, I added some fun Valentine’s Day sprinkles to make them festive.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope this gives you some ideas on making your own Valentine’s Day treats!

I am also linking this project up with the LAWN FAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
