Glimmer Those Rainbows!
I fell in love with this month’s kit when I first saw it! What is more fun than rainbows? I decided to go with more of an “organic rainbow” theme and do skin tones. I think its important to remember the beauty of the human rainbow!
I used the die to cut out the rainbow pieces and then colored them with Copic skin tones. Then, I added them where they needed to be on my card front, and glimmered the foiled details over each rainbow band .
I added the sentiment and glimmered that in the rainbow foil included in this month’s kit. It is a little difficult to see the rainbow colors in the foil from photos, but as you tip it in the light all the colors show up brilliantly. So pretty!
Add Some Shimmer and Shine!
I wanted to dress up these rainbows by adding lots of embellishments. I painted some Nuvo Glacier Paste onto the clouds, and also added shiny sequins all around my rainbows. I also added some tiny clay hearts from Trinity Stamps, because they are just too cute!
I then mounted my card fronts onto a pink card base after adding some skin-tone cardstock strips to the card base. I thought it gave a subtle rainbow vibe to the background.
Create Your Own Rainbow!
I am completely in love with September’s kit, and I hope you will be, too! Of course, you can use any color palette- brights, pastels, or skin tones.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!
Until next time,
