Hello, friends! If you like browsing your local craft stores like I do, you may have noticed several of them having some fantastic sales lately! Especially Hobby Lobby! I visited there last week and found this fun layering stamp set by Hero Arts for only $4! I LOVE finding a great deal!
This is the first layering stamp set I have owned. I was excited to try out my BRUTUS MONROE SURFACE INKS with layering. I have known they work for layering, but never had a chance to try it out!
I began by stamping out some of the images with my MISTI. I used the colors, SUEDE and TERRACOTTA for the cones, and then a few pinks and blues using PINK AND MAIN’S colors of surface inks. Pink and Main has their own colors of surface inks, and I love the hues! If you want to see a planner page I created with the Pink and Main inks, CLICK HERE.
After all my stamping was done, I fussy cut the images and set them aside to build the background. I have had a few requests for me to show how I created a background for a previous card, so I copied the same process from that card. You can see my inspiration card HERE.
For the background, I ink blended a bit of COBBLESTONE INK to create a spotlight behind the cones. Then, I used BRUTUS MONROE GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER to stamp some shiny sprinkles along the bottom right corner.
I also added some splatters using some STERLING GLIMMER MIST. After all the paint and mediums on the background was dry, I adhered the ice cream cones down using some foam adhesive. I also tucked some ribbon behind the pink cone and then added a few tiny sequins.
The front card panel was adhered to the card base using foam adhesive, and then I carefully stamped the sentiment using VERSAFINE BLACK INK to finish the card!
I hope you enjoyed this look at how fabulous these inks are for layering! If you are interested in checking out these inks, they are available in the BRUTUS MONROE STORE! The Pink and Main colors can be found on their PINK AND MAIN ONLINE SHOP.
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time,
