Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! In fact, I may be a bit late to the game in posting these but hopefully they give you some inspiration if you still have a few Valentines cards left to make!
Add Some Stripes
This first card is made from simply cutting strips on colored cardstock and adding it onto my card front. I cut my front layering panel down to 5.25″x 4″. This gives a good margin around the edges when you add it to an A2 sized card.
I then added the heart border from SCRAPBOOK.COM’s SLIM BORDERS 2 die set. Such a cute heart border! It cuts out the heart outlines, but also the little hearts inside. I was able to cut it several times from different paper colors, and then mix the white heart outline with glittery red cardstock hearts.

I finished this card by stamping the bold sentiment with black ink and stamps from Scrapbook.com. The sentiments are from the XOXO STAMP SET from Scrapbook.com
Stamped Background

My second card is similar to my first with just a few small changes. I used the same supplies I used for my first card. Its fun to create several cards in a similar style with the same supplies. Especially if you have a number of cards you have to make!
I agan added some strips of paper across the card front; just not as many this time. Then, I stamped the top portion of the card with the large XOXO stamp from the stamp set. I stamped it in pink on pink cardstock, so that it would be a subtle background pattern vs. a sentiment.

For the sentiment, I used some additional Scrapbook.com stamp sets. The numbers for 14 are stamped with the BOLD CAPS OUTLINE stamp set, and the “love you” is from the SWEET EXPRESSIONS sentiment set. I used Scrapbook’s hybrid inks to stamp these with.
I then added the heart border and filled in the heart areas with the hearts that were left.
Hope this leaves you with some inspiration for your Valentine’s crafting!
