Die cuts or stamped images? Which option is your favorite on a card?
For today’s blog hop featuring Tonic Studios Stamp Club, Im sharing two cards- one that features this month’s stamp set, and one that features some of the dies for this month! Let me know which one you love best!

Using Stamps on Your Cards
First up, my stamped card! I stamped and colored the images from this month’s stamp set with Acorn Brown ink from Nuvo. Then, I colored using the Nuvo Aqua Flow pens. These pens are filled with liquid watercolor and they are reactive with water, so you can apply them onto your paper and then use a brush or water brush to spread that color and achieve a watercolored look on your images!
*TIP: I get best results with these Aqua Flow Pens when I use them with Bristol Smooth Paper!
After coloring the stamped images, I cut them out using the coordinating dies from the Stamp Club set. Then, I arranged them over a background I created and adhered it all to a mini slimline sized card base.
Create a Card with Die Cuts!
My second card is made in much the same way as my first, but this time I used the dies from the Stamp Club set on the front. Instead of stamping and coloring, I die cut the flower and leaf layers out of white paper and then ink blended the color on. You could also cut the flowers out of colored cardstock, but I like the freedom of being able to change my mind about what color to use. Starting with white paper also gives me the option to coordinate my colors if I use the same ink on both the die cuts and the background.
The background for this card is made in much the same way I created my first background. For more details on the creation of my backgrounds, watch the video I posted at the beginning of this post!

Both cards are fabulous, but I am more of a die cutter than a stamper so I have to go with the die cut card as my favorite. Love this Stamp Club!

My favorite color is bright lemony yellow; but I like these cards because the sunflowers are NOT bright yellow. They are unique and just really pretty. Well done.
